June 12, 2010 – First Annual Fundraising Walk

To help the Lavery family with the tremendous expense of retrofitting their home to adapt to the mobility challenges that Errict and Alex are facing, family and friends organized a walk for Errict and Alex.

On Saturday, June 12th from 9 am to noon, participants joined Errict, Alex and their mother Jennifer at Bayfront Park in Hamilton to walk the Waterfront Trail. Walkers were asked to raise money through pledges with proceeds going directly to fund modifications to Errict and Alex’s home and the purchase of a wheelchair van.

It was at this stage that Jeff Pigott, VP Field Operations, Kenaidan Contracting Ltd., first learnt about Errict and Alex. Jeff joined the walk with his two daughters and it was this initial participation that generated Kenaidan’s involvement.
